How I work
A typical UX day can vary from project to project - whether I have the luxury to follow every step in the process, or whether I have to adapt to a lean and agile environment. It’s about building the best experience possible by using a 3-phase framework that provides focus.

1. Understand & discover
The first step is usually about understanding the commercial context, business drivers as well as the customer context and desires.

Early discovery research sets us up for success and aligns strategic business goals with consumer needs.
2. Design & validate
With the insights gained from 'Discovery', we take into account the organisational priorities and constraints as well as the needs and context of the end users, in order to develop a high level concept or solution. This concept is further validated and tested with end users to help close any gaps and uncertainties within the knowledge gained.
3. Build, analyse & optimise
After exploring what the solution will look like, this stage is about detailing and building the solution and continually testing and learning with end users.

The result is a process or experience tailor made for your users and the context in which they will be using it - and consequently is something that they actually want to use rather than need to use.
